The energetic dining space offers views of our incredible culinary team, and a separate piano lounge featuring live entertainment adds to the dynamic vibe. Outdoor fireside dining is offered seasonally.

Meet the Chef: Richard Pelz

Since joining We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort in 2020, Chef Pelz has transformed Ember into one of Arizona’s top dining destinations, earning accolades like Wine Spectator’s “Best of Award of Excellence” and OpenTable’s Diners’ Choice Awards. His vision and culinary expertise are now set to elevate the dining experiences across all of We-Ko-Pa’s venues, ensuring guests enjoy exceptional cuisine, no matter where they dine.

Richard’s culinary journey began at an early age, inspired by his parents' passion for winemaking and fine cuisine. He honed his skills at the Culinary Institute of America at Hyde Park and gained experience working in prestigious, Michelin-starred restaurants worldwide. His global experience, including roles at La Grenouille and La Caravelle in New York, Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse in Monaco, and Alinea in Chicago, reflects his deep commitment to excellence. He also owned Goblin Market in New York City, earning a nomination for Best New Restaurant in its first year.
 

The driving force behind Ember at We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort, Chef Richard Pelz, is known for his innovative approach and dedication to culinary excellence.  Chef Pelz oversees the resort’s entire culinary and stewarding operations, including six dining outlets and special events at Fort McDowell Adventures.
